Software: Mozilla Thunderbird, Operating System: Windows
- Open Mozilla Thunderbird. The first time you launch Thunderbird, the Import Wizard will ask you if you want to import Options, Account Settings, Address Book and other data. Click Don't import anything, then Next.
- The Account Wizard will open. Under New Account Setup, select Email account. Click Next.
- Under Identity:
- In the Your Name field, enter your name.
Note: This will appear in the From field of your outgoing messages. - In the Email Address field, enter your email address (e.g.,
This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ). - Click Next.
- In the Your Name field, enter your name.
- Under Server Information:
- Select IMAP as the type of incoming server.
- In the Incoming Server field, enter jetta.websitewelcome.com
- In the Outgoing Server field, enter: jetta.websitewelcome.com
- Click Next.
- Under User Names, enter your email address (e.g.,
This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ) in both the Incoming User Name and the Outgoing User Name fields. Click Next. - Under Account Name, name your account (e.g., My Email). Click Next.
- Verify your information, then click Finish.
- In the Mozilla Thunderbird main window, go to Tools > Account Settings...
- In the Account Settings window, in the left panel, click Server Settings.
- In the Server Settings display, under Server Settings, select Use secure connection (SSL). The Port number above will change to 993.
- In the Account Settings window, in the left panel, click Outgoing Server (SMTP).
- In the Outgoing Server (SMTP) Settings display, under Use secure connection, select SSL. The Port number above will change to 465. Click OK.
- In Copies and Folders > When sending mesages automatically: Select Other and from the menu choose sent-mail on Account Name (e.g., sent mail on My Email)
- To view your email messages, click Get Mail (upper left corner in the Mozilla Thunderbird main window). You will be prompted for your password.
- Note: We recommend that you DO NOT select Use Password Manager to remember this password. If you do, anyone who has access to your computer can read your email, delete and send messages in your name.
